Freedom Is Not What It Seems

Some have described being saved when someone suddenly comes to take the punishment of a man on death row. Then the condemned man is set free.

“so if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.”
(Romans 8:36, NLT)

This means the Son of God is our door to freedom.

You might be asking what do I need freedom from?

It’s not easy to see that things that make us feel good are often not the things that are best for us.

Certain sins give a feeling of being free, but it’s not true freedom at all. Sin is called bondage in the scriptures.

The greatest freedom is being able to say no to those things that are not best for you.
