When did you join Medium? Why did you join?
I joined Medium around the beginning of the COVID pandemic. My mentor, Thom Plummer, encouraged me to join. I ran a gym for 13 years, and the restrictions in California stripped my business to nothing. Medium was a way to develop my voice as a writer, develop my skill set, and grow my community.
What’s the best part of being on this platform?
I think Medium is particularly good for skill development. The volunteer editors have given me valuable feedback, and seeing which articles do well monetarily helps me see how my ideas are landing with my audience.
