God, Is Faithful In The Wilderness
He will do what He has promised
For the last three years, I have been in a season of transition, moving from the old into the new.
From London to Paris, to Gold Coast, and now to Toowoomba. It’s not just physical moves. Behind the scenes, God has been removing and reshaping mindsets, values, and vision.
Like Moses, it has felt like I’m wandering in a wilderness. No idea where I am going, but as long as I keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, He will guide me.
It can be destabilising- trekking in the hot sun unsure of where the next rest stop is. Knowing the promised land is coming, but as the days drag on, feeling like it will never arrive.
God remained faithful to Moses and kept His promise.
And He said, ‘ I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name the Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. (Isaiah 33:19 ESV)
Traveling through the desert was a long journey. Moses was willing, but I know that travel would have taken its toll. The constant moving, heat, and lack of water. Fighting within the Israelite’s camp and not to mention all the complaining.
