All life depends upon the Spirit of God
The Holy Spirit is the giver of spiritual life. To those who have faith and believe in Christ Jesus.
At the true center of our walk of faith is a life-long encounter with our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. Our walk-in faith, our pilgrimage with Jesus Christ is a quest for a life of holiness. A life of righteous living made only possible with the indwelling of God the Holy Spirit. His power gives us the ability to respond to our Lord Jesus. On our own, we can try, but we fail to live the life that God desires of us.
Have you had days, as I do, when we forget that it is not our struggle? We desire more than anything else to live the life God requires of us. We fight the good fight but lose. We try as hard as we can but stumble and fall. We have forgotten that it is not our place to try alone. God our Father loves us and knows we are helpless to win our battle alone.
God the Holy Spirit is also known as the “sword of the Spirit” due to the power that He yields in our lives. The wonder is that He is pouring into our hearts the desire to be more like Jesus. Our walk-in faith has as its source Jesus Christ in the Spirit, who is eternally holy and righteous. God the Holy Spirit works within us, urging us to change and become more like Jesus.
