And the authority behind it that it came from God

I’m a dreamer

Every night, I tend to have a least one dream and more often than not I remember them upon waking.

I went through a particular season of extremely vivid dreams that I felt were messages to me from the Lord speaking into my heart.

In the course of a night, I can have many dreams

Some are short and play through my memory, gone in the morning with the flutter of my eyes. Other dreams seem long and can feel like they take the full eight hours of sleep. And then there are other dreams that may be long but upon waking I only remember a tiny fritter of them.

This dream was like that.

In a fragment of this dream, I explained to a friend that we all have gifts.

Part of the work of the Holy Spirit is to give spiritual gifts to each believer for the building up of fellow believers.

Although short, this dream struck me as interesting because of the authority I had in telling this.

I knew it to be true.

It felt as if I had delivered this message given to me directly from God. I passed along what He told me and so had no doubts in what I professed.

It’s neat the way God can do this. He can make us feel so sure of something that a doubt cannot penetrate.

The feeling He gives is one of simple assurance. It’s as if it is so logical, how could it have ever been missed? It just makes sense.

All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal (Psalm 119:160, NIV.)
