How to have unshakable faith in God isn’t a secret. It is simply knowing an undeniable truth about who God is to you.

King David fell into moral bankruptcy when his lust for Bathsheba drove him to have her husband killed so he could hide the fact he had gotten her pregnant. He reveals how far his sin took him away from knowing the heart of God. David’s life is a lesson for us all. He was a man who was known for seeking God’s heart. Yet, he failed to guard his own heart and ended up living a life that totally denied he had once known God’s heart.

David’s recovery is a testimony to how amazing and powerful God’s mercy and love is when it is received and experienced.

Psalm 136, David says 26 times that God’s love had never ever failed him. Wow! What a testimony coming from a man who committed adultery, murder, and fraud.

If a man whose sins were as horrible as David’s can unashamedly and with undeniable boldness declare that God’s love and mercy for him had never changed, and these truths caused him to have unshakable faith in God, wouldn’t that knowledge also impact our hearts the same way it did his?
