MORNING DEVOTIONS
I choose Jesus
When my husband and I moved into a bigger home, we decided to grow flower beds and keep a dog. One morning we realized our dog had destroyed some of the flowers. I was angry. I concluded we do away with the dog and keep the beds. My husband felt otherwise. After some deliberation, we aligned to keep the dog.
As Christians, we are faced with the dilemma of making choices (i.e a high-paying job that contradicts our moral values, a toxic relationship vs. staying single)
We are encouraged today to choose JESUS and all he represents. We cannot simply sit on the fence.
No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” (Matthew 6:24, NIV)
