In the Night Time
That is when we hear Your voice
My day may start with praise
as I stand amazed.
Your glory shines all around,
brightening sea, sky, and ground.
And then the day gets busy
enough to make me dizzy.
Family, work, traffic, and crowds,
But His joy keeps me in the clouds.
Nighttime comes, let peace roam.
I look up at the starry dome.
Silence, at last, no more noise.
I listen to His voice.
I sing His praises
to Him in all my phrases.
Honor, glory, majesty, and power,
I will His goodness shower.
Praise, dance, and sing.
I will thanksgiving bring
with body, spirit, and soul
To my King, my all.
In the quiet of the night
as I bow down and be still,
I hear Him say: “Rest well for all is right.
Your sleep with peace I’ll fill”.
