Why is Jesus Christ the greatest gift?
In a world defined by transactional relationships and the unending quest for personal gain, there exists a precious gift, a priceless treasure. This is no ordinary gift or mere commodity but one whose worth transcends the scale of worldly value and economic considerations. That gift is Jesus Christ.
Amid life’s challenges and struggles, many may fail to recognize the immensity and significance of this heavenly present. But the scriptures are unequivocal and clear about it; Jesus Christ is the Ultimate Gift from God.
The Bible uses many descriptive titles for Jesus, one of which, and perhaps the most remarkable, is the unspeakable gift from God to mankind. Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift (2 Corinthians 9:15). The unspeakable gift is that of God giving His Son to us, even while we were still sinners. It is the embodiment of God’s Graciousness and Sacrificial Love.
Jesus is often referred to as the gift throughout the scripture.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NIV)
