He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. (Psalm 107:20, ESV)

Have you ever had an unwelcome guest?

Our unwelcome guest was Beryl, who blew in and out of our city. The eye went right over it, wreaking havoc in its wake. His parting gift was debris, roofs that needed patching, broken down fences, no electricity, loss of food, and mosquitos.

Despite the misery Beryl caused, we also saw God’s blessings. Because my husband and I were unable to do the clean-up work, our neighbors surprised us by gathering and cleaning our whole front yard.

The wonder of love in action is not just beautiful; it's inspiring and uplifting.

If the storms of life are raging in your soul, turn to the author of love, Jesus. Let Him do His clean-up work, delivering you from the destruction. He will heal and make all things new.

Prayer:

Father God, thank you for helping us through difficult times. Please remove the destruction left behind and make us new.
