And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:5, KJV)

It is impossible to trap light. Even if the perfect mirror were created to only bounce light, it would not work. A photon, a particle representing a quantum of light, can be trapped; however, the initial energy cannot.

We may not have scientific expertise, but we all know light in the form we see, feel, and understand its benefits. We see stars, knowing that light comes from long ago and far away. It travels through the blackness of deep space yet still comes out on the other end to be received by our eyes and interpreted by our brains.

Nothing consumes light, and the same is true with Jesus, the Light Of The World.

Nothing and no one can trap the light of God’s love.

The Pharisees and the Sadducees considered the most learned men of the time, could not trap the light of Jesus. Their wisdom was not even a tiny spark next to His.

Close your eyes for a moment and think about light.

Even through closed eyelids, we see light. We know light, so why not Jesus? His light still shines whether we believe it or not.

Prayer:

I receive your light, Jesus. Let it eradicate any darkness in my soul.
