Committing Sin and Living in Sin are not the same things
The Bible is very clear about many things. Among them is the fact that we are all sinners. From the dawn of time, man has sinned. Genesis 3 tells of man’s fall with the eating of the forbidden fruit (no, it wasn’t an apple), and the word “sin” appears in print almost 450 times, meaning that it gets a lot of attention from that point forward. While not all of these are accounts of people in the Bible actively sinning, there is certainly no shortage of recorded incidences.
Imagine that the first man ever born would also become the first murderer. Jealousy, the same thing that got Lucifer kicked out of Heaven, was Cain’s motive for killing his brother! No wonder it is listed as one of the most dangerous emotions to harbor.
