‘Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.’ (2 Corinthians 1:3–4, NASB2020).

Today, I want to encourage those weighed down by unfair criticisms and judgments, offering the comfort and reassurance in God’s Word.

You were not created to live under constant scrutiny, with others endlessly evaluating your actions. As children of God, we walk in His mercy, renewed every morning (Lamentations 3:22–23). His Word reminds us not to judge others, warning that the measure we use will be measured back to us (Matthew 7:1–2).

Even more troubling is when we become our own harshest critics, risking the loss of sight of God’s boundless grace. Instead, embrace His grace, live confidently in His love, and trust in His ability to sustain you, for He is faithful to keep you from stumbling (Jude 1:24).

As you journey through life, remember you are held in the tender embrace of the God of all comfort. Let His grace be your strength, His love your confidence, and His faithfulness your assurance. Reject the weight of undue judgment, from others or yourself, and step boldly into the freedom and joy God has prepared for you. May your days be filled with His peace and abundant blessings.
