Love

“God is Love” 1 John 4:8

I met with Love this morning,
At the dawn of a new day.
He held me in His arms of grace,
And showed me a new way.

The birds were singing songs of praise,
They know the One who cares.
They know that Love sees everyone,
He feeds them every day.

And as I brought to Him my cares,
He gently took my hand,
And told me that I need not fear,
I saw his light shines through.

I knew this day might hold great trials,
But Love will hold me close,
I see the Hand stretched out to me,
The nail prints speak of Love.
