From Door to Door
I was born into The Watch Tower Society of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I frequented the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Michigan, and eventually was baptized at the tender age of 17. This also meant that I was baptized into The Watchtower’s school of thought. As an active Jehovah’s Witness, I used to carry the roving microphone during Kingdom Hall Bible study meetings. When I matriculated into the Theocratic Ministry School, I gave oratorical discourses and public readings from the podium on stage.
I also engaged in what is called “Field Service.” Field service is essentially what Jehovah’s Witnesses call evangelism. This typically involved going from door to door, neighborhood to neighborhood, sharing literature from the Watchtower canon, which promoted the ideological stance of The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania.
