Upon the tempest of life’s raging sea,
Five sailors clung to hope in a desperate plea.
Brotherhood, Honor, Work, and Trust,
None could save from the ocean’s gust.

One sailor, in his brethren found his grace,
Believed their bond would the storm efface.
Yet, as the waves did roar and crash,
All were swept away in one single splash.

An officer stood proud in duty’s call,
Resolute, unwavering and refusing to fall.
His uniform gleaming, medals shining bright,
Yet, he drowned in the sea, lost to the night.

A deckhand, seasoned by many a year,
Believed in his work, held his ropes near.
But the waves, relentless, showed no care,
Swept him away, left nothing but air.

A new sailor, in the Navy found his faith,
Held fast to a compass, braved the wraith.
Yet, his trust was misplaced, his hope in vain,
With his naiveté, he sank in the rain.
