“Penny Wise, Pound Foolish!”

This was Sarah’s conclusion when she thought she got a great deal on a huge bowl of mango fruits, only to realise half of them were rotten.

Next time, she will be more discerning.

The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire (Matthew 3:10, NIV)

The scripture highlights the need to bear fruits. However, God is expecting us to bear the good ones. Fruits that are edible and healthy for others to consume.

A good fruit is evident in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness & self-control. These are the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22–23)

And, this is what we are called to be.
