Day 7 in Draw the Circle — a 40 Day Prayer Challenge by Mark Batterson

Scripture is Mark 16:20,

“And the apostles went out announcing the good news everywhere, as the Lord himself consistently worked with them, validating the message they preached with miracle-signs that accompanied them!” (TPT)

God is at work in our lives.

I think we forget that God is working in our lives.

That’s why we need to watch and listen for signs. Pay attention to what happens.

Mark Batterson asks us why we don’t dress for the miracle?

A true story

The weather report said “rain and thunderstorm” right at the time I was to go home from the meeting.

Travelling a highway in the dark in a thunderstorm scared me.

I almost didn’t go. But I pushed myself out the door and prayed for clear skies for my return drive.

Driving there I saw big black heavy clouds in the west coming toward me. I prayed again.

After I left the meeting I noticed it had rained but the sky was clear. I had a delightful drive home. And I could see okay.

I needed to put feet to my faith.

We need to move when we feel God wants us to take that step. We keep praying and then, when we hear His voice, we need to take the first step.

God wants us to act in faith

“God is honored when we act AS IF He is going to answer our prayers.” ~Mark Batterson

Mark also reminds us that when the Israelites were going to cross the Jordan, which was flooded and high water, the priests had to step into the water first, before God parted the sea. (Joshua 3:1–4:24)

The next day Joshua told the priests to lead off carrying the ark of the covenant towards the River Jordan. The river was in flood and dangerous to cross. God told Joshua to tell the priests when they got to the river bank not to stop but to go and stand in the river. — freeBibleimages.org

Faith is a verb

“If we want to see God move, we need to make a move.” ~ Mark Batterson

Here is my story of making a move without knowing where we were going.

Faith is, “daring to go after a dream that is destined to fail without divine intervention.” ~ Mark Batterson

What is holding you back from following your dream?

Take the first step. Then watch what God does. Remember if you want to see God move, you must take the first step.

I would love to know your dreams so I can pray for you.

We are “waiting for God to part the river, while God is waiting for us to get our feet wet.” ~Mark Batterson
