Our October word prompt (#24) was suggested by Koinonia writer RodSEMPLE.

The word HUMOR means: (from Merriam-Webster.com)

  • the mental faculty of discovering, expressing, or appreciating the ludicrous or absurdly incongruous : the ability to be funny or to be amused by things that are funny

I’ve included a handful of ‘random’ quotes that might help you think about the many facets of humor (noun). There were so many great quotes, I’ve included extra! Read more here.

Laughter is an instant vacation. ~Milton Berle

I think the scariest person in the world is the person with no sense of humor. ~Michael J. Fox

It is the ability to take a joke, not make one, that proves you have a sense of humor. ~Max Eastman

I suppose it could be pretty easy for you to think up a suitable story idea for our October word prompt. You might find biblical application if you wish to take that approach. It’s up to you!

Just follow the rules below.

“For your born writer, nothing is so healing as the realization that he has come upon the right word.”
— Catherine Drinker Bowen
