Exciting Updates on the Koinos Hackathon

Hello Koinos community, we wanted to give you an update on the hackathon we’re sponsoring on HackerEarth to help us achieve our objective of onboarding 20 dApps and 100,000 users to Koinos in 6 months.

We’ve been working very closely with both @Wachsman_ and the @HackerEarth team. Wachsman is helping us on the marketing side to increase awareness of the hackathon in addition to HackerEarth’s community of over 7 million developers.

We currently have over 300 developers registered for the hackathon and we expect this number to increase dramatically over the next 4 weeks, and especially accelerate around the last few days.

If you’re thinking that 4 weeks sounds like a long time for a hackathon, then you’re absolutely right! The closer it gets to the end of the hackathon, the more developers will grt involved because of the looming deadline and efforts will ramp up.

Based on past hackathons, we think we’re on track to register around 1,800 developers, so we’re very happy with how the hackathon is progressing.

You’ll also see an emphasis on our Discord server as developers connect with the Koinos community. We’ve made changes to ensure that when hackathon participants arrive, they have a variety of channels that succinctly assist them in finding a team, information, and support.
