Last week we announced the launch of the Koinos accelerator to support promising projects building on Koinos, and that our first member is a game.

Today we’re excited to announce that game is a free-to-play-to-earn NFT trading card game named LORDS FORSAKEN!

We’re also excited to announce that Lords Forsaken will be launching an ALPHA pack pre-sale next week, on April 2nd!

ALPHA packs will be sold for a limited time and contain 5 NFT trading cards which are determined by the same onchain Verifiable Random Function used in the proof-of-burn consensus algorithm of Koinos.

ALPHA packs will be priced at a 50% discount off of future pack prices and there will be bulk discounts.

Maximum Accessibility

Lords Forsaken is intentionally pricing packs to be super accessible because their goal is to attract as many players as possible to their game, and to Koinos. But players will be able to combine their cards to make them more powerful, so there is an advantage to buying more packs. And since ALPHA packs will never be sold again, this is a unique opportunity to build an unrivaled collection in the game.

Trading card games are perfect for blockchain which is why they’re some of the most successful games in crypto. They’re a great way to introduce ordinary people and even kids to the blockchain but they’ve failed to break into the mainstream because the blockchains they use have terrible UX and they force users to learn complicated new lore.
