5/26/24 Update: Koinos to launch native bridge, VORTEX.

Koinos is the world’s first free-to-use layer 1 blockchain, but as a totally new and standalone blockchain it has struggled to reach the broader crypto market which is why we’re so excited to announce that Koinos has gone cross-chain through the Fusion bridge network thanks to our partnership with Chainge. Koinos can now leverage Fusion’s cross-chain bridging technology to gain access to 25 blockchains and over 4,000 digital assets!

Ethereum <-> Koinos

With wrapped KOIN (wKOIN) now on Ethereum and wrapped ETH now on Koinos, not only can people acquire KOIN on Ethereum, but they can even move ETH held on blockchains like Ethereum, Avalanche, and L2s like Polygon, onto the Koinos blockchain. They can also move KOIN from Koinos onto Polygon through the Chainge mobile app!

Koinos remains the only free-to-use blockchain which makes it uniquely accessible to ordinary people, but today’s announcement marks the beginning of a new era for Koinos in which the first free-to-use blockchains is as accessible to crypto native users as it is to ordinary people, which we believe is a major step to achieving mainstream adoption of blockchain technology.

Freedom from Fees

While we are incredibly excited about what you can do on Chainge today, we are even more excited about the countless ways this integration into the Fusion network will enable us to free the blockchain world of gas fees, and accelerate decentralization through accessibility, so be sure to follow Koinos on social media and download the Chainge app today, to explore the bridge between Koinos and Ethereum.
