Toei’s Voltes V Joins Kollect’s Ecosystem
Overview
Our goal at Kollect is to become the ultimate hub for NFT collectibles and play-to-earn games using licensed IPs and brands. To help achieve our goals, we are delighted to announce that Toei’s Voltes V will be joining our ecosystem!
Voltes B, also known as Super Electromagnetic Machine Voltes V, is a Japanese manga series directed by famed Japanese director, Tadao Nagahama. In the past, Japan’s copyright law required a ‘personal name’ to be registered as a copyright, so the entire Toei producer team started to register as a fictional character named Yatsude Saburo, and this has continued to this day. In other words, the personification of Toei itself has partnered with Kollect to integrate Voltes V. Through our collaboration, Voltes V will be integrated into Kollect’s ecosystem through the production of its own NFT cards, staking in collection books, synthesis of cards, integration in Kollect’s games, and more.
Voltes V Story Line
Voltes V is the second installment of the Robot Romance Trilogy, which also includes Chodenji Robo Combattler V and Tosho Daimos.
The story of Voltes V takes place on Earth which is under attack by humanoid aliens from the planet Boazan. The Boazanians have a caste system and are ruled by the nobility with horns, while hornless citizens are treated as slaves. Boazanians also possess superior technology and manage to overpower Earth’s military when they attack.
Going up against an impossibly formidable inter-planetary armada immune to conventional weaponry, renowned Earth scientists Professor Hamaguchi and Mitsuyo Goh (Kentaro’s wife) summoned the three half-Earthling children of Professor Kentaro Goh: Kenichi, Daijiro and Hiyoshi alongside two new members: Ippei and Megumi (all of whom were undergoing special training for a whole year prior to the invasion). The group then traveled to the undisclosed island base named “Big Falcon” (a prodigious closely guarded technological mega project that took almost twenty years to complete) wherein the scientists ultimately reveal Professor Kentaro Goh’s greatest life’s work and humanity’s last remaining hope for survival: “Volt” machines that combine into the giant robot known as “Voltes V.”
While each of the five Volt machines possesses their own unique abilities and weapons, when they need an extra defense against powerful enemies, the machines fly into a “V” formation, with each member pressing a button and crying out, “Let’s Volt in!” to form the giant robot known as Voltes V.
Conclusion
The integration of Voltes V will be a valuable foray into certifiable limited and branded items, empowering our community to buy, sell, trade, and battle NFTs from some of their favorite fictional universes!
