6 Tips for travelling with kids
This year we had our holidays earlier than usual. And they turned out to be an unexpected adventure. Schiphol airport, one Saturday afternoon. Luggage drop off, lunch and plain take off as planned. Landing in Paris almost on schedule. Next connecting flight, boarding in 15 minutes. Arrived at the gate on time, passengers already queuing. Seaside here we come!
When all a sudden, on the speaker: “Terminal evacuation, please follow the exit signs”. Yes, we were asked to leave the terminal. Which we did in a deadly silence. All due to a security breach. One hour later, our flight was canceled. Next possible flight, the day after in the morning. So, here we are: on a Saturday evening, on Paris Charles de Gaule airport. With other 2k people and no luggage. If we wanted to have it, we needed to queue for 3 hours. Which we did not. You got the picture. And, our adventure was not over. The next morning flight seem all in order, for it to be delayed several times. Departure was finally 4 hours later than scheduled. Finally arrived at hour destination. One more surprise was awaiting: our luggage lost.
All in all, a trip which should have taken 3/4 hours, ended up taking more than 24. And luggage received the following days.
