Cigars and fashion…
Interestingly enough, in Cuba, garments called the ‘guayabera’ became quite popular. Commonly known as summer wear, the guayabera shirt is frequently worn all across South America. Primarily focusing on its pleating design, the guayabera shirt traces its roots to the province of Sancti Espiritus. According to folklore, a man named Jose Gonzales asked his wife to make a custom white long-sleeved linen shirt with four large pockets to carry cigars throughout the day.
And the legend continues.
