Wine from Colombia…

Even tough it has a tropical climate, the country of Colombia does grow grapes and produces its own wine. The grand majority of Colombian wines are made from hybrid varieties of grapes, specifically those suited to the hot and humid climates found at tropical latitudes. That said, a select few grape varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, are grown there as well, but they remain in the minority and are restricted to the cooler and drier parts of the country.

A well-balanced wine ecosystem, indeed.

With knowledge, we stop being consumers and start being connoisseurs.
