Sometimes we are asked the questions related to the security of Zoommy and other applications, so we’d like to answer them in this blog entry in order to give our first time customers an assurance that our programs are safe and hassle-free.

So we’d like to mention the following points that prove Zoommy’s security:

  • For Windows or Linux installation we are using clean systems which are tested on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 14 accordingly.
  • Compared to Mac version, Windows version is not signed with developer key.
  • Let’s test the installer on Windows with the help of the awarded source on the web — VirusTotal. It helps to detect any viruses or malware:

We noticed that one Qhoo-360 antivirus gives the false positive, but you shouldn’t worry about it as it’s misguided. Anyway, you can always check out Zoommy.exe file as well as use any other online service to confirm that Zoommy is virus free.

  • In order to create unique ID number as well as login and password, we are requesting your hardware data. You can be sure about your security as we don’t share your personal information with anyone.
  • Also we are using the mechanism of secure updates from our release host https://releases.zoommyapp.com/
  • Application would autoupdate only with signed build.
  • Due to the fact that we don’t distribute the installer *.pkg, *.dmg, you can see on your Mac the error that the program came from an ‘unidentified developer’, but with the help of command codesign you can easily make sure that is not so.
That’s normal
