에어비앤비, 우버 등으로 급부상하던 공유경제는 스마트컨트랙트와 토큰 이코노미의 등장으로 다시 한 번 중앙화된 서버 없이도 개인간에 자원의 거래 및 공유를 신뢰할 수 있게 되며, 블록체인 위에 다양한 공유경제 서비스들이 등장하기 시작하였습니다. 그 중 골렘은 컴퓨팅 자원의 공유와 거래를 가능하게 해주는 네트워크입니다. 첨단 기술의 발전과 빅데이터 산업의 성장으로 컴퓨팅 자원에 대한 수요는 지속적으로 증가하고 있지만 이를 처리할 수 있는 슈퍼컴퓨터의 운영 비용은 매우 높아 개인 및 중소규모의 기업에서 도입하는데 제약이 있습니다. 골렘 네트워크를 통해 참여자들은 컴퓨팅 파워를 거래하여 낮은 비용으로 슈퍼 컴퓨터 급의 자원을 사용할 수 있습니다. 코빗은 골렘 네트워크에서 컴퓨팅 자원의 거래에 사용되는 동명의 토큰 골렘(GNT)을 상장하기로 결정하였습니다.
골렘 네트워크의 참여자와 완전 경쟁시장
골렘 네트워크의 참여자는 사용 가능한 머신의 컴퓨팅 자원을 제공하는 제공자(provider), 필요한 컴퓨팅 파워의 기간과 양 만큼 대여하는 요청자(requestor), 그리고 골렘 네트워크를 이용하여 어플리케이션을 개발하고 유통하는 소프트웨어 개발자(Software Developer) 입니다. 골렘은 첫번째 서비스로 컴퓨터 그래픽스(CGI rendering)를 위한 자원 공유 플랫폼을 제공합니다. 골렘은 아마존웹서비스 등 중앙화된 클라우드 서비스와 달리, 수 많은 개인과 중소기업이 참여할 수 있게 진입장벽을 낮췄으며 이에 완전 경쟁시장이 가능하여 낮은 가격으로 고도화된 컴퓨팅 작업을 가능하게 합니다. 골렘 네트워크는 오픈 소스로 컴퓨터 그래픽스 마켓 이외에도 누구나 원하는 컴퓨팅 자원 공유 마켓 서비스를 제공할 수 있습니다.
골렘은 2018년 12월 4일부터 코빗의 PC웹과 모바일 앱에서 지원됩니다.

Golem is a decentralized computing power sharing network.
Sharing Economy: Supercomputing Power Available to the Masses with Golem Network
The driving forces behind the rise of sharing economy include Airbnb and Uber; in a similar way, smart contracts and token economy resulted in various different sharing economy services on the blockchain that facilitate peer-to-peer trading and sharing without a centralized entity. Golem is a CPU power renting network, which enables users to rent out and trade idle computing resources to other users on the network. Even though the demand for computing resources keeps increasing with the development of cutting-edge technologies and growth of big data industry, individual and small and medium-sized enterprises find it difficult to invest in a supercomputer since it is extremely expensive to operate it. However, users on the Golem network can perform works requiring supercomputing power without any huge expense from their pocket. Korbit has decided to list Golem (GNT), an ERC-20 token named after the network that you use to pay for the computing power that you rent.
Golem Network Participants and Perfect Competition
There are three parties involved in the Golem network: a provider (party providing the computing power), a requestor (party who needs to perform a computing task), and a software developer (developer of different applications for various use). The first use case of the resource-sharing platform focuses on CGI rendering. The Golem network removed the barriers to entry for individual and corporate users who need large amounts of processing power for difficult tasks so that they can rent out processing power at a cheaper cost than they could from a company who offers a similar centralized service via the cloud, for example, Amazon Web Services. Also, there are many other use cases, in addition to the CGI rendering, that enable users to share computing resources.
GNT will be available on PC website and mobile apps from December 4, 2018.
