Sweet essential oil helps kids with depression, nausea and fatigue.

One of my kids has been feeling a little blue lately, due to the fact that his first year in school is almost ready to start!

While I’m excited to be a mom of kindergartener, he doesn’t feel so well about it. So, well, I thought it might be a good time to uplift his feeling with some essential oils. I picked the sweet orange oil. You may choose whatever essential oil as long as they are safe for kids.

The actual MP soap making only took us, less than 30 minutes, and since this MP soap base I used sweats a little, (not from Amazon) so it took another day to be dried up.

Anyway, let’s get started with recipes first.

These are all I used in this MP soap making, please forget about the potato chips at the upper right hang corner.

2 lb White MP Soap Base ~ https://amzn.to/3B59KQe

0.16 fl oz Sweet Orange EO ~ https://amzn.to/3z1zCdY

2 lb White MP Soap Base ~ https://amzn.to/3B59KQe

First, cut the soap base. I used no palm oil soap base, and I think this one particularly has too much glycerin, making the final soap weeping a lot.

Oh and if you want to make only the dinosaur MP soaps, you will only need less than 1 lb of soap base. For me? I used all 2 lb of soap base, just because my boy asked me so.

0.64 oz Oatmeal Colloidal ~ https://amzn.to/3krjpL6

So, basically, I love the oatmeal colloidal. It helps me in making lotions, making body creams, it makes skin super nice and relaxing. My kids both have severe eczema, and I use oatmeal colloidal cream / lotion all the time.

And you will also love it when you use them in your bath products. You can omit the ingredient if you don’t own it.

0.16 fl oz Sweet Orange EO ~ https://amzn.to/3z1zCdY

I usually go with lavender essential oil or lavandin with kids, since they are super safe for kids, and I want my boys to be relaxed, not jumpy like monkeys at home.

But this time, one of my boys feels a little down, I want him to feel better and eat more food lol. I chose the sweet orange essential oil.

So melt the MP soap base, easily with microwave. Everybody has a different microwave, and even soap bases are not same, and amount of soap base you will put on your cup would be different, so I would suggest to start with 1 minute, and add 30 sec each.

Mine is old microwave, I got it from my grandmother -not joking- so it took me 1 min and 30 sec to melt everything.

Make sure you use the heat resistant cups, and not plastic.

Since the MP soap base was quite hot, I added more soap base on the cup.

I’m going to add the essential oil, and I don’t want to change its status or make the scents go away, so I usually set the soap base temperature to 110–130 F, 45–55 C.

You have to check with the manufacturer since all manufacturers use different ingredients for their essential oils.

Add a half of oatmeal powders we measured, and keep stirring until it dissolves.

0.05 oz Green Colorant Mica ~ https://amzn.to/2VRgdhH

Add a half of sweet orange EO, I will use the rest into the bunny soaps.

And add some colorant. A little goes a long way, you don’t need to add tons.

See how Matcha it looks lol. I can even make Matcha soap with this.

And pour 1/2 to 1/3 in a soap mold. We are going to insert some dino figures soon. Make sure the figures are somewhat heat resistant also.

I used the Amazon version of this, which I bought earlier this year. I have so many!

And let your kid finish the design, be patience. If your soap base gets hardened, use the microwave for 30 seconds.

70% Isoprophyl Alcohol ~ https://amzn.to/3igWm33

And you need alcohol spray for this! If you don’t spray them, the base soap won’t stick together. It will just be separated as if they are two different soaps.

Make sure you have it for stitching them together.

And pour the rest on to the soap. Let it sit for a while, and take them out, make it sit for a day to be dried up all the glycerin it has, and done!

Since I had another 1 lb of soap base, I decided to make some pink bunny soaps with strawberry powder.

But I wanted it to look like a strawberry milk, with real strawberry.

So I thought, let’s combine all additives together!

0.32 oz Oatmeal Colloidal ~ https://amzn.to/3krjpL6
0.08 oz Strawberry Powder ~ https://amzn.to/3eoNjMc
0.08 fl oz Sweet Orange EO ~ https://amzn.to/3z1zCdY
0.05 oz Red Colorant Mica ~ https://amzn.to/2VRgdhH

I combined all of them together. It’s going to look like a real strawberry in this soap!

But. It doesn’t work that way maybe. Hmm.

Maybe for next time, I will try to add them one by one in a soap base.

Anyhow, it got somewhat okay looking. I got to pour it.

It wasn’t so bad, but not what I thought it would turn out.

Anyhow, the dino soaps are great, I see some toys sticking out, but they are fine.

Bunny soaps, are somewhat disappointment, but they are cool too. I might want to change the way I add next time though.

Cute little dinosaurs, they sweat a lot the next day. And kids? Oh they love the dino soaps so much!

And kids using the soap with sweet orange oil, they seem super happy on everything after a bath, not sure whether it was sweet orange or dino toys. But it worked. Haha.

I recorded how I did it, thank you for reading this article. :)

What should I make next time?
