KRAF-10 — Born from Serendipity, Nurtured with Love

KRAF-10
KRAF-10 Philosophy

--

We believe you can create your own luck. If you put yourself out there, you increase the probability of magic happening. Thanks to this philosophy, we as KRAF-10 founders crossed paths. When we met we realized all three of us wanted a professional and reliable community with like-minded people to fall back on.

Instead of continuing to search for it, we decided to create the network we wanted for ourselves. A network of talents, creatives, and like-minded people to fuel great ideas. A home for freelancers to thrive, grow, and to find causes they care for. This is all because we believe great ideas start within. If we care for the freelancers, they’ll care for your brand.

This is KRAF-10.

Maria Selting had returned to Stockholm after a year of traveling and working remotely with a creative community of freelancers and business owners. When the pandemic hit and forced many of us to work from home, she missed the creative outlet and support she was getting from a community of like-minded people. So she decided to put herself out there and find the community she was longing for.

One day she posted in the Facebook group for Swedish Digital Nomads asking where people were working and if anyone would be interested in coworking together. That’s how she first got in touch with Sebastian Martinez, Co-Founder of Creative Hub Sthlm, who invited her over to check out his coworking space.

They had a good chat. Maria, who is a firm believer in putting your ideas out in the universe and seeing what happens, decided to share a suggestion with Sebastian:

– You should try out doing a “Nomad Tuesday” weekly event at the hub.

Maria simply shared an idea she wanted for herself and Sebastian liked it. So he pinged Christoffer Persson, Co-Founder of Svenska Nomader (and the group Swedish Digital Nomads), to discuss this idea.

This ended up offering a Nomad Day Pass offer through Svenska Nomader to join coworking at the hub. And all this happened because of a simple idea that was spontaneously shared over a coffee.

Sebastian and Christoffer (based in Lisbon) continued chatting. Maria and Sebastian kept bouncing ideas around at the hub whenever they were able to.

Over time, Christoffer and Sebastian realized they both had strong networks of creative people: one network of digital nomads working remotely and one network of freelancers working physically at Creative Hub STHLM. They realized they could turn this into a business together. Both of them had already been working the flexible hybrid style that had become the norm during the pandemic. Now was the time to tap into workforce changes and shape the future way of doing business.

They started discussing ideas on how to conceptualize this idea of a modern workforce with Christoffer Skogsmo and Frida Primé, two creatives from Creative Hub. This is where the idea for KRAF-10 was born.

A curated network of trusted freelancers from all across the globe, handpicked for their work and their mindset. A platform for freelancers to focus on what they’re great at, without worrying about getting new clients. A single one-stop shop for startups and scaleups to expand their marketing and communication functionality without having to hire a single person or deal with a web of freelancers. Workforce-as-a-Service (WaaS) for the 21st century, united by what they believe in. Great sustainable business starts from within and is fuelled by people who believe in its cause. This is KRAF-10.

Christoffer and Sebastian had the business model all figured out. And they had clients — even more than they had time for. But there was something missing, and that was someone who could make the KRAF-10 community come to life. And what better person to add to the team than someone who wants to create the community she wants for herself? That’s how Maria became the last puzzle piece. The third musketeer, joining to empower freelancers to become the master of their own destiny.

We believe we’re all happier if we can work on matters we care about. And we believe our clients will get better results if their workforce cares about their cause. That’s why we only take on gigs we believe are making the world a better place, however small or big the difference might be. Long-lasting results start from within and our community is here to fuel your vision.

With genuine care and love for freelancers and clients, we believe we’re all better off this way.
