First, WTF is Big3?
If you’ve been sleeping on the BIG3, it’s time to wake up and join the action.
Founded by the legendary Ice Cube, this professional basketball league brings you the excitement of 3x3 games like never before.
The league consists of 12 teams that include former NBA players, All-Stars, Hall of Famers, and World Champions
In 2022 Big3 made history by allowing fans to participate & invest, taking the community to a whole new level.
Ownership in the league includes owners like Krause House, GaryVee, VeeFriends, Frank De Gods, DeGodsNFT, Snoop Dogg, Moonbirds, Kevin Rose, and more.
Ice Cube recently appeared on Logan Paul’s podcast to discuss Big3 and made an exciting announcement. He revealed that a documentary detailing the league’s journey since its inception in 2017 is in the works.
Season 6: More Cities = More Fun
The highly anticipated sixth season of the BIG3 is set to begin on June 25, 2023, at the United Center Arena in Chicago, IL.
This season, get ready to experience the lightning-fast pace of 3x3 basketball, where not only will you enjoy the quickness of the game, but also witness epic performances by top-tier rappers on the court.
The matches will be broadcasted live on CBS and Paramount+. More information about additional venues and broadcasts will be announced soon.
Ice Cube expressed his excitement, stating, “After two years of a semi-touring model, we are finally able to safely return to cities nationwide and bring the BIG3 back to the size of arenas where our fans want us the most.”
He also emphasized the league’s momentum, citing record ratings, sold-out games, and notable offseason developments, such as certification by ByBlack and renewing the partnership with CBS.
“No one” has faith in the Ball Hogs
Some claim that last year was a disastrous season, while others boldly state that we have never had a good season.
Yes, Ok. We’ve been struggling in the BIG3 since the beginning, and 2022 was no exception.
We started with some hope after Leandro Barbosa’s impressive performance. But luck wasn’t on our side. Barbosa missed a game due to coaching duties and struggled when he returned. Then, in Week 5, he got injured and was out for the season.
Our final record was a disappointing 1–5.
Our last-place finish in the previous season doesn’t exactly position us as the favorites, but we’re not giving up.
This year is different
The 2023 draft took place live at the Microsoft Lounge in Culver City, California, hosted on the league’s Instagram account.
