The Quest for Kresk: NFTs for community engagement

Kresko’s mission is to make wealth accessible to anyone, anywhere. With this goal in mind, we are building an open-source platform that offers crucial financial tools, including synthetic RWAs in emerging markets.

We recently concluded a successful 6-week testnet competition, The Quest for Kresk, during which we used a series of NFTs as prizes.

In this post, we will provide an overview of the details and distribution of these NFTs.

NFT Collection and Details

We plan to use the NFTs to create engaging experiences for our community members who share our mission of making wealth accessible.

Collection: Officially A Kreskian

This is an uncapped collection of Level 1 NFTs.

Usage: These will be given to users who complete the platform’s onboarding process. The onboarding process introduces Kresko and educates users on the benefits and risks inherent in the protocol.

Collection: The Quest for Kresk

This is a capped collection with 20,000 Level 2 and Level 3 NFTs.

Usage: These will be rewarded early supporters, contributors, and community members aligned with Kresko’s mission.

Distribution

During the alpha testnet competition, the core team received 105 Level-2 NFTs, while the remaining NFTs were awarded to the community with the following allocation:

• Alpha testnet competition: 49.39%
• Team: 0.53%
• Future community incentives and treasury: 50.09%

Utility of NFTs

The NFTs are designed to reward our early supporters. Each NFT is assigned a level between 1 and 3, with higher levels indicating a greater contribution made to the Kresko community.

The NFTs draw inspiration from sci-fi & card games and serve to reward early supporters while also offering a fun experience through the incorporation of simple game mechanics.

Although we have not yet revealed the specific utilities of our NFTs, holding onto them will offer unique features and benefits within the Kresko protocol.
