Liquid is a relatively new cryptocurrency trading platform. It was launched by Quoine in September 2018. Quoine is the first global cryptocurrency firm in the world to be officially licensed by the Japan Financial Services Agency in September 2017. It was founded in 2014, based in Japan, and currently has offices in Japan, Singapore and Vietnam. Liquid platform was formed from two existing exchanges — Quoinex and Qryptos, launched by Quoine in 2015 and in 2017 respectively.
Liquid exchange offers top security and liquidity. It allows trading a wide range of fiat/crypto and crypto/crypto currency pairs. The list of supported fiat currencies includes USD, EUR, AUD, JPY and SGD. The platform is powered by Quoine’s World Book, which provides traders with enhanced price matching and deeper liquidity for various currencies. The users benefit from high level of security provided by 100% cold wallet storage and accounts protection with the use of their Iron Shield protocols. Cryptocurrency withdrawals take 2 business days and fiat withdrawals follow Japanese bank holiday schedule.
But for convenient and safe tools for trading, Liquid enables p2p lending in BTC and QASH, allows margin trading and offers a referral program. The exchange is ranked 72th by daily trading volume which is about $7,5 million up to date. The Founders of the project are Mike Kayamori (CEO) and Mario Gomez-Lozada (President and CPO).

Fees and limits
Deposits: there are no fees for deposits with the use of SBI Japan and Swapforex. UAB Mistertango (EUR for deposits within SEPA) processing fee of 0,99 EUR is applied.
Withdrawals: there are no fees for cryptocurrency withdrawals but for network transfer fees. Liquid charges 5 USD flat fee for USD, SGD, EUR and AUD, and 500 JPY + local bank fee for JPY withdrawals. There are additional payment processor charges.
Trading: zero trading fee for crypto/fiat pairs; for crypto/crypto there is 0,15% Taker fee and 0,075 rebate for Maker. There are no trade limits or maximum order quantities for spot trades.
Margin trading: up to 25x leverage; no trading fee.
Lending: interest payment fee is 50% of interest transfer and is collected by Liquid from the lender whenever interest transfer is credited.
