Agri Infra Fund Under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Scheme
The central government of India, recently announced Agriculture Infra fund, under the ambitious mission of ‘’Atma Nirbhar Bharat’’ in making India self- reliant.
What Is The Core Objective Of This Scheme?
The main intent of our central government is to infuse the required fund in the Agri sector to make our Farmer self-reliant and earn more income. It has been envisioned with an objective to disburse a medium/ long term debt finance facility for investment in viable projects for post-harvest management Infrastructure and community farming assets through incentives and financial support in order to improve agriculture infrastructure in the country.
Here are the few caveats:
- Financing facility of Rs 1 lakh crore is announced
- 85 % of the allocated budget will be available for small and medium level farmers or organizations concerned with the Farming sector.
- It’s Pan India Central Sector Scheme.
- It’s medium to long term debt financing facility to be invested in projects for post-harvest management Infrastructure and community farming assets
- This scheme will have a life span of 10 years starting on FY2020 and ending on FY2029
Who can avail of this scheme?
- Farmers
- Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS)
- Marketing Cooperative Societies
- FPO’s: farmer producer organizations
- SHGs
- Join the Liability Groups
- Startups: Involved in the Agri tech sector.
