Krypital Group officially announced the completion of its strategic investment in KIRA Network, the first decentralized network that enables market access to any digital asset, in November 2020.

As an early investor in KIRA Network, Krypital Group will help expand KIRA’s global business scope and cultivate and deepen community development.

Besides Krypital Group, the participating institutions this time also include: Axia8 Ventures, Ascensive Asset Management, Alphabit Fund, BTC12 Capital, TRG Capital, NGC Ventures, Origin Capital, WeStaking, etc.

Why choose to invest in KIRA Network

KIRA is the first ever decentralized network to enable staking of ANY asset type to secure its operations, induce network activity and optimize yield. All without limiting liquidity of the staked tokens and without exposing holders to risks such as market volatility and liquidations typical for all other DeFi platforms. KIRA uses a liquid staking mechanism at the core of its consensus and provides scalable market access to staking derivatives as well as any other asset types. This means that all tokens at stake whether fungible or non fungible can be staked, traded and used with any DeFi application at the same time.

KIRA Network has a variety of original functions to ensure its market competitiveness, including Multi-Bonded Proof of Stake (MBPoS), the Interchain Exchange Protocol, and the IVO crowdfunding model.

1. Multi-Bonded Proof of StakeMBPoS

MBPoS is a type of Byzantine fault-tolerant consensus supported by Tedermint. MBPoS enables users to generate income by collateralizing traditional financial assets such as digital assets and legal assets.

The Multi-Bonded Proof of Stake binding protocol can ensure network security while releasing the liquidity of pledged assets. When users pledge assets, they will generate derivative tokens of the same type and use derivative tokens to perform a transfer, transaction, mortgage and other operations to release pledged assets. Liquidity, at the same time, will also generate corresponding income from a pledge.

2. The Interchain Exchange Protocol

The Interchain Exchange Protocol (referred to as IXP) is a type of decentralized transaction protocol. It is a whitelisted distributed asset transaction solution specifically designed for cross-chain asset transfer and frictionless transactions.

IXP guarantees that KIRA can achieve throughput and availability that cannot be achieved by current DeFi systems, and it can provide strong security and scalability for digital asset transactions.

3. The IVO Crowdfunding Model

The Initial Validator Offering (IVO) is a highly innovative crowdfunding mechanism. Investors can use one or more POS tokens to put into the Staking pool for inter-chain mining to obtain new tokens.

Specific operations for investors entrust the token to the verifier. Then, the verifier generates income through cross-chain mining. The income portion will be linked to the value of the token invested by the investor. In this way, investors can get the same value of the income generated by IVO validator mining.
