Andy Li and Michael Nguyen discuss the ambitious ELONCITY model, a scalable and stable pathway for mass adoption of clean, renewable energy. This model essentially creates millions of decentralized “microgrids,” which consist of micro energy production sites (rooftop solar, for example) and intelligent networked battery energy storage systems, all installed on user premises. They then tie this together with blockchain-based smart contracts and performance-based micro financing to create the framework for grassroots mass-adoption.

Quoinblock’s CEO, Bangdao Chen, was unable to attend the conference in Korea, but Isaac Livne, CMO for Quoinblock, did a great job filling in to discuss how they are addressing the threats of Quantum computing, smart contract flaws, slow transaction speeds, illegal usage, and environmental resource waste.
