Krystal Highlights: July 2021
The start of August 2021 was rush hour, so this update took a bit of time to churn out. Buckle up, cos we’re going on a recap ride. Here’s a round-up for all that happened at Krystal in the month of July 2021.

Krystal launches new interface to improve user experience
Since our inception, there has been consistent growth in the number of active users and trading volume. This allowed us to better understand how users are utilising our platform, what features they like, what they find easy or hard to do etc. With the feedback we’ve gotten, we revamped our user interface and made the following improvements:
Improved portfolio management tools
- On the home screen, you can view your real time wallet balance in a currency of your choice (USD/ETH/BTC).
- On the desktop web version, the home screen gives you a good overview of both your wallet assets and the assets you are earning interest on.
- On the mobile app, the home screen is customizable to your preferred display — choose to view the assets in your wallet, assets that you are earning interest on, historic information about popular tokens in the market, or the watchlist of your favourite tokens. Switching between different displays is a simple 2-click process.
Mobile optimization
Users are able to quickly discover various call-to-actions with our improved simple and intuitive design. We have made it much easier to navigate on mobile devices.
Krystal Web now supports Binance Smart Chain (BSC)
You can now connect your BSC wallet (Metamask or Wallet Connect) on the desktop platform. Enjoy swapping tokens and earning interest on your supplied tokens with lower transaction costs on BSC.
Many events were held, and we gave away $30,000 worth of prizes
We held AMAs with notable DeFi projects
We welcomed representatives of a number of DeFi projects in a series of AMAs. The Krystal community got to learn much about these uprising projects. Read our recaps if you’ve missed some of them.

Krystal takes the stage at events
Krystal was also invited as guests in notable events. Sunny (CEO, Krystal) and Jason (Head of Marketing, Krystal) took to different stages to share about their experience in DeFi, and their work with Krystal.

We were a part of the #DeFiStrongerTogether Meme Contest
This was organised in conjunction with B.Protocol, Liquidity Protocol, Chainlink, Kyber Network and Pickle Finance, where you were challenged to come up with your most creative meme.
We were floored by the creativity of all the meme artists out there and had a hard time picking the winners. Eventually, 15 entries were picked and $3,000 worth of prizes were given out. These are some of our favourites!
Krystal went on an expedition with MANTRA DAO
We were happy to partner with MANTRA DAO to organise a series of events from 14–31 July.
We kicked off with an AMA, where we welcomed JP to the Krystal telegram channel, and he gave us good insight into MANTRA DAO.
This led to a Learn & Earn, where participants took part in a quiz to put their knowledge about MANTRA DAO to the test. We were happy to award 50 Sherpas (randomly picked) for their perfect scores!
Finally, we arrived at the summit — a OM trading contest was launched from 26–31 July. It attracted 548 participants, and we gave away $25,000 worth of prizes to the top 300 participants who traded OM on Ethereum and BSC. To further show our appreciation to the rest who did not make it to the top 300, we also gave away 6,000 OM worth of prizes to 100 random participants!
