Hi Ca’Koin, thank you for taking the time to join our AMA! What did you do before crypto and did you have any other previous venture in crypto? What is your role at Wanaka?
Hi Krystal’s community. I am Cakoin, co-founder and CMO of Wanaka Farm. I am an artist, painter. I’ve also been a crypto enthusiast since 2017.
At the beginning of this year, I have been interested in NFT art and have discovered NFT games, so that was how I became an NFT gamer and have been found by the Wanaka’s team.
What is Wanaka about in a few simple sentences? What are the project’s main goals? How many people are on the team?
Wanaka Farm is a multiplayer NFT game,a perfect combination between a classical and a blockchain game where a happy farming universe was created and inspired by a dreamy beautiful island from the south of New Zealand called Wanaka. Players will experience adventurous quests and options to design their own unique land. Our main goals are to make people play with a zentitude mode and earn an income for the time they spend. Our slogan is “Play, relax and earn”.
We have now 26 members in the team working hard day and night to achieve our goals
We want to learn more about Wanaka features in the game. What is the difference between Wanaka and other NFT games like Alice, Fara?
You can experience the first sight and sound of Wanaka from our first trailer on our website, it demonstrates how the game is going to be.
We have Mirabo as our dev team, Wanaka going to bring the VR/AR to audiences in the future with tailored quests and tasks. So this is also one of our strengths that few games in the market have ( Revomon and Star Atlas).
People always compare us with My Neighbour Alice because we are in the same segment of the game, but I think we have different gameplay. You can play Alice on steam but with Wanaka you can play it on different devices in the future.
The game is expected to be released in Q3, we can test the beta version in sept and the game will come later.
Now let’s talk about Wanaka token? could you share more about it’s utilities and tokenomic?
Sure, we have a dual token economics system. $WANA is our governance token with 500mil of supply. You can stake $WANA to earn yields in both $WANA and $WAI, also by staking $WANA, you’ll be eligible to vote DAO in future, it’s our main token for purchasing in game transactions on our marketplaces ( Wanashop and Wanatrade) and also could give you an entry slot for our big events.
$WAI is our in-game token used to reward players/breeding/building and so on, it has unlimited supply and of course it has its own burning mechanism.
Are there any upcoming and exciting news from Wanaka that we, as users, should pay attention to?
We have a series of competitions for the community going on now; you should check our social media for more information. We have just announced our first launchpad. Our IDO will take place on Poolz on August 27th. Please stay tuned, other launchpads will be announced soon.
