Sometimes working with RNotebooks your analysis is “user’s file” dependent, meaning the Notebook will be running on different computers and working with different data files (hopefully same structure)
Maybe due to confidentiality issues it’s not recommended to map a shared drive to place files in, where anybody can peek at them.
Files have different names, different locations, and such, but it’s easy to let users choose which files are intended to RNotebook processing.
The command is:
myFile <- file.choose()
an explorer dialog will be opened for the user to choose the file.
What if you need to process all files in a folder? easy as pie:
myFolder <- choose.dir()
I leave it for your consideration if your users are worth of such a privilege.
