Do you know how the blockchain can be applied in other areas other than “Bitcoin”? According to the foreign media reports, month-old baby Bengal, Divit Biyani, has become the first in the state to get a birth certificate, secured through the Blockchain technology which underpins Bitcoin

Why does India want to use blockchains on birth certificates? There are several key features of blockchain technology: “decentralization”, “anonymity”, “unable to modify”, “traceability” and “encryption security”. In India, there is often a false report of age. For the census, the accuracy of the data is directly related to the formulation of the policy, and paper documents are easily lost or damaged. Therefore, the introduction of blockchain technology will provide the country with more accurate and accurate data samples.

India has a population of 1.3 billion, second only to China. It has the second largest population in the world, and its immigration behavior is more frequent compare to other countries. Therefore, birth certificates have become very important in the process of immigration. Through blockchain technology, the fraudulent behavior will be completely eliminated, and the entire bidding process will become simpler, easily access and permanent preservation.

Although the Indian government has not always maintained an open attitude towards cryptocurrency, and even once banned cryptocurrency transactions, but the Indian government has great enthusiasm for the application of blockchain technology at all levels. For example, the Indian state of Karnataka, known as the “India Valley”, announced this month that it will work with PwC, one of the Big Four accounting firms to build a blockchain technology. The creation of a smart property rights (IP) trading platform, while in the degree certificate, drug traceability and land registration, the Indian government has shown considerable willingness to introduce blockchain.

Last year, the state of Illinois in the United States began to try to use encryption to enable people to obtain their birth certificates through the Internet, or to authorize third parties to authenticate their identity; and with the birth of India’s first blockchain birth certificate, the response from various regions of India and other countries is worthy of attention. Once the country with more than 1 billion people fully uses blockchain technology, it is believed that it will bring more breakthroughs to the country.
