LINE exposes more blockchain layouts including decentralized application, which is currently only piloted in Japan, will be launched in Taiwan in the future. Recently, LINE’s LINK Ecosystem Facebook fan page announced that the LINK blockchain ecosystem will focus on four major markets, including Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and Taiwan. LINE is looking at the four national markets, with a total of 165 million LINE active users per month.
LINE also revealed that the services on its platform will be connected to the DApp, and tokenizing LINE service. LINK ecosystem will be covering in social, gaming, commercial, content, exchange and other applications that can expand LINK usage. LINE also announced on the its Fans page how they will work with the LINK blockchain DApp.
LINK, the blockchain company established in South Korea in April this year, announced the blockchain technology platform LINK Chain and cryptocurrency LINK at the end of August, will used this cryptocurrency as a reward mechanism for the LINK Ecosystem. In order for DApp developers and LINE users to get LINK as a reward in this blockchain network, they can trade with other cryptocurrencies on LINE’s cryptocurrency exchange Bitbox.
In the LINK blockchain, LINE is expected to launch five demonstration DApp applications. At the meantime, three models have already been launched, including the Q&A application Wizball, forecast voting application 4CAST and the product review Pasha. In the future they will also launch the food review Conomi, location comment STEP. LINE also announced that its DApp will be open to partners in the first quarter of next year, and its DApp will be fully open in the second quarter, allowing any developer or third-party service provider to build their own blockchain DApp. LINE also updated the LINK blueprint to announce the launch of the LINK wallet feature in the first quarter of next year.
LINE has 19 million monthly active users in Taiwan. Therefore, although LINK blockchain is currently only open to the Japanese market, LINE has begun to promote its own blockchain technology to Taiwanese developers to warm up for the future expansion into Taiwan.
For example, on Friday (12/21), LINE TechPulse 2018, a developer event held by LINE Taiwan, Jinhee Lee, the chief innovation and product director of Unblock, a LINE blockchain company, was found in Korea. Jinhee Lee is the main member responsible for developing the LINK blockchain architecture. He introduces the LINK blockchain platform architecture and the LINE token economic layout to Taiwan developers.
In addition, in the event of HITCON Pacific 2018 which ended last week, LINE senior security engineer An Xianghuan came to Taiwan to recruit talented people, and also promoted the security framework of Bitbox’s security system on the cryptocurrency exchange Bitbox.
