Embrace the new life of wisdom, the big future of data
In order to stimulate the industry, academia and the private sector to jointly participate in the government’s open data application, and drive the innovation and development of the domestic data application and service industry, it is guided by Board of Science and Technology, Executive Yuan, Ministry of Science and Technology and Civil IoT Taiwan Project Promotion Team Co-organized “2019 Civil IoT Data Application Competition”. All parties are invited to participate in the brand promotion and creativity, and use the Civil IoT Taiwan data service platform and the composite earthquake rapid report platform to integrate the use of the “Civil IoT Taiwan Project” air quality, earthquake, disaster prevention, water resources and other four areas of people’s livelihood. As well as materials that have been publicly disclosed by government departments, materials that can be opened but not yet open according to law, or privately owned materials, contribute to Taiwan’s environment and data applications.

This year’s “Civil IoT Data Application Competition” has 120 teams. After 8 months of submission, preliminary, rematch and final, 12 groups have been selected. The awards include Honorable Mention (9 groups), Second Runner-Up (2 groups), First Runner-Up (1 group) and The First Place (absent). To this end, the organizer held the finals on December 14th and held an awards ceremony in which the team’s planned works were displayed and announced the final winners.
The winning team of this competition uses government open data, proposes the scale scale from personal life to the national environment, deepens different aspects of life, and fully demonstrates the potential of big data multiple applications of the public Internet of Things of the people’s livelihood. And through the establishment and standardization of disaster relief material information, combined with the e-commerce logistics platform, the supply and distribution of donated materials, the purpose is to improve the asymmetry of information among disaster prevention and relief units, the insufficient amount of disaster prevention materials to be prepared before the disaster, the excessive donation by the people during the disaster, or unnecessary materials and waste. hoping that the right materials can be delivered to the right units at the right time.
The biggest feature in this proposal is the introduction of blockchain technology. Because blockchain (decentralized ledger storage) technology is immutable, transparent, and decentralized, it allows both parties to establish a trust relationship without knowing each other.
