The NFT art field is a fiercely competitive ‘’Jianghu’’

As an artist reviewed by the UK’s knownorigin platform, Dennis Hung, a Taiwanese artist who has published many works on the NFT platform in recent years, has created digital art from physical sculptures and oil paintings to now, directing his works to domestic and foreign collectors. He believes there are also fierce competitions in the virtual world, but NFT is nothing more than an extra channel for creators to publish. “The most important thing is that the community and IP are linked together to cooperate.”
Dennis Hung said that he has also been actively thinking about new creative and publishing directions since the beginning of the epidemic last year. At the same time, he has also focused on the trend of combining blockchain and art. “I started working in NFT silently for half a year at the beginning of last year.” Recognized by platforms and collectors, he has also participated in some lectures and is recognized as one of the art pioneers of Taiwan’s NFT.
“In the past, it was actual sculptures and oil paintings. Switching from NFT to computer graphics is still a little different.” Dennis Hung’s works with the online name “IOYOI” have gradually explored a style that incorporates his own strengths and the preferences of NFT collectors. Combining painting with “volume pixels”, a work similar to a sculpture installation is made by stacking grids.
Actually applied for and experienced multiple NFT platforms, Dennis Hung also shared and pointed out that different platforms have different characteristics and different collector attributes. For example, collectors of “SuperRare” who like sci-fi and video game works; “Nifty Gateway” invites more popular artists and stars to publish works; “MakersPlace” prefers illustrations and DC heroes. On the whole, he believes that 3D, animation, cyberpunk style, and program visualization, such as the “Visualization of Canary Network Blockchain” that Dennis Hung participated in, style of work are relatively attractive and popular on NFT.
The application and review mechanisms of NFT platforms are also different. Dennis Hung believes that investing in NFT “community management is very important, so as to also interact with other artists, and even artists’ fans.” At the same time, there are now celebrities and competitions among collectors in the currency circle. Many collectors rushed to buy works on a large scale in order to obtain historical positioning. Dennis Hung felt: “ It will be marginalized if the Taiwanese art circle does not join early in this trend. “
Regarding the prophecies that the NFT craze drives the burst of art bubble, he thinks it is a good thing, “All data on the blockchain will definitely bring about changes. After the bubble is cleaned, things with eternal value will come out.”
