Recently, the global investment circle has set off a wave of “NFT” (Non-Fungible Tokens) digital collection transactions. According to data, NFT sales at the end of February 2021 were close to 310 million U.S. dollars, five times that of last year. Even Tesla founder Elon Musk, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey and other representative figures are optimistic about paying more attention to investment.

The NFT project is not limited to paintings, songs, and player cards. The classic is the “NBA Top Shot” which was released only in October last year. The blockchain innovation NBA digital collection has a 7-day transaction volume of over 35 million U.S. dollars, triggering a frenzied purchase by 350,000 fans worldwide In the collection, one of LeBron James’s rare splendid scene ball cards was sold at a price of 200,000 US dollars which shows that digital blockchain art is on the rise.

Lioneers has sprung up from Taiwan’s technology hub and has set off a trend of “change the city with sports” in Taiwan’s sports arena. This year, it has introduced blockchain technology, joined hands with ACE Exchange on the 27th to issue Asia’s first professional basketball NFT “Legend of Lions” digital player card.

The first wave of NFT basketball player cards is led by 5 highly popular players, namely Oscar Kao, Tien hao, Wu Dai-Hao, Calvin Chieng, Shun-Yi, Hsiao. Limited cards are limited to 150 worldwide, and ordinary cards are limited to 1,000 worldwide. Team manager Jason Hsu said: “Recently, Lebron James Moment player card sold for more than US$200,000, showing an explosive increase. From this point of view, Taiwan has kept up with the global basketball NFT boom, starting from Hsinchu JKO Lioneers which is known for technological innovation. I hope to expand the Taiwan professional basketball — P.LEAGUE+ league.”

David Pan, International Strategic Advisor and Director of ACE Exchange, said:

“In the NFT trading boom, digital content creators have benefited the most. In the past, most of the digital works were uploaded to social media platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or Spotify, and they were easily copied and hard to profit.”

“Nowadays, unique digital content can be sold directly through NFT. In addition, NFT can also register unique ownership, giving the owner an additional “Proof of Ownership”. For Lioneers players and NFT investors, it is more secure and worth showing off. “
