The second Kubeflow Contributor Summit was hosted by Google in Sunnyvale CA a few weeks ago, and featured a terrific lineup of talks. On the second day, there was also the opportunity for contributors to break into Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions as working groups in order to brainstorm ideas on the following topics:

Both days were incredibly productive. But one of the highlights of the first day was a panel of industry data science leaders who came to share their experiences and wisdom with the Kubeflow contributors:

  • Jun Wang, Twitter
  • Ting Chen, Tencent
  • Emmanuel Ameisen, Insight Data Science
  • June Andrews, Delphi Data
  • Caio Soares, Intuit
  • Scott Leishman, Intel

The Kubeflow community strives to identify and implement a productive user experience for the data scientist to run their work on Kubernetes, so it was incredibly valuable to hear from potential Kubeflow users running machine learning programs in production. Check out the video of the panel discussion below. There’s a wide range of topics to digest, from the data scientists’ favorite tools to the challenges in identifying what exactly makes a data science project successful. Enjoy!

(L to R) J. Wang, T.Chen, E. Ameisen, J. Andrews, C. Soares, S. Leishman
