Henrik Rexed, author of the Youtube Channel ‘Is It Observable?’, recently released a great tutorial on Tracetest. If you have never watched Henrik’s series, you are missing out on a great resource to learn and stay current on all things related to the Observability space. He covers concepts, tools and current news from the OpenTelemetry project. Highly recommended, and you can subscribe to the Youtube channel to stay up to date on the latest in Otel.

In the video, Henrik provides an overview of Tracetest, shows how to deploy it, covers how to create and run tests from both the UI and from the CLI, and discusses Tracetest’s value. He also includes a 10 minute interview with Ken Hamric, Tracetest’s founder. I recently watched the video and it provides a great overview and ‘getting started’ explainer for the Tracetest project.

Interested in Tracetest? Install it using our new command line installer, which is mentioned in the video as ‘coming soon’. You can download by following the instructions at https://tracetest.io/download. Once installed, let us know what you think! You can add Github issues or join us on our Discord channel to discuss the future of Trace-Based Testing with Tracetest!
