Kufukaa Named Winner of the James and Rey Block Community Business Award 2021

Kufukaa, a leading social-sustainable clothing and homeware brand based in Kansas City that innovates handmade clothing for conscious experiences, was named the winner of the James and Rey Block Community Business Award in the 2021 Regnier Venture Creation Challenge (RVCC) at UMKC.

The Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation hosted the sixth annual Regnier Venture Creation Challenge Competition on Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5. The RVCC event was a two-day, business plan and speed pitch competition promoting entrepreneurship and new venture development for university students in Missouri and Kansas and current Entrepreneurship Scholars.

The competition, underwritten by a generous gift to the University of Missouri — Kansas City by the Regnier Family Foundations, is designed to encourage venture creation through a forum in which students and program participants can present new venture concepts to local investors, business leaders, mentors and judges.
