🌹 KULAP Story: More Than a Passion, More Than a Dream
I believe that you guys have heard a lot of innovation, technical and events from KULAP members. Today I would like to represent our nature, our vision, and how we work this out with fun and remain professional. Meanwhile, I will share the other dimension of 2019 success story and what we aim for 2020.
Why KULAP?
KULAP is “rose” in the Thai language, and it is the name of Strom in Thailand at that time. KULAP have a lot of meaning for us as this word defined by the group of Kasetsart University(KU) students, and we use this group name to share our exciting ideas.
Unique, crazy and fantastic team
The first day, I have joined this team. I believe in whatever they do because I know them for a long time as friends, but I have to admit this is crazier than I thought lol. All the creative projects have done this year are full of the fun story and positive energy behind it. The team are combining with a strong community man, incredibly technical team, UI expert and also a business lady. Some project idea we have talked in the morning can be done in the evening like a piece of cake.
The first-day meeting I review KULAP in the business perspective, I asked Tot our CTO. “I have an idea to make money. Can we do this project?”
he said: “Tell me whatever you want”. I laugh it out, greeting my old friend. I know his answer before he said that. Yes, everything is possible for KULAP.
On the Q4 of 2019, one blockchain event we got invited almost cancelled one week before the date, because of an unexpected issue. Our team decided to help them raised event in a short time because they planned everything, as well as the foreign speaker flight, was booked. Our CDO built a fan page with a new logo and design like he flips the fingers before sending to CEO to invite people to join this event. Two hours later, I have checked the page and saw that 1,000 people follow it. I messaged them “Guys, You should open an event organizer company lol.”
The brief of 2019
We spent this year to join events and sharing our technical knowledge in Thailand community. In January 2019, we were invited to be a speaker for the future of finance. Later, KULAP recognized more and more in Thailand community for blockchain, cryptocurrency and finTech innovation. This year we participated in more than 35 events[1], including camps, competitions, hackathons, and so on.
In June 2019, KULAP team went to training, but the team spent that day while training to build Libra Wallet after Libra was announced two days before, the wallet can test straight away with the real merchant from that training event [2]. Nowadays, this wallet hits 5M transactions, and we also share our library and documentary.
In December 2019, we won the first place of Libracamp[3]. KULAP start to be recognized on a global scale. We have a pleasant experience all the time through Libracamp period. Libracamp team help us to improve our business and product. Otherwise, they help to expand our user base. We have a good opportunity to make new partners and friends. Libracamp team is an excellent partner which gives us well support.
We have more exciting projects with well-known partners [4] and also our products[5]. We are developing the best rate decentralized exchange that uses our algorithm. Meanwhile, we are applying for the decentralized exchange license with Thai SEC. Currently, we have 20,000 users pre-registration with us, and the number is rising every day.
2020 Challenging
- We are coming up with the decentralized exchange wallet with more exciting features.
- Blockchain and cryptocurrency online course.
- And more.
KULAP aims to build blockchain developers and an active community in Thailand. In the other hand, We will build KULAP business and double the company revenue.
