“Do You Want Me,” ZAGI’s New Collaborative Single with Kyriz Boogeyman

Sinjitos Collective has released another new piece of music from vocalist/songwriter, ZAGI. The new single, “Do You Want Me,” sees a collaboration between the TikTok sensation and rapper Kyriz Boogeyman, featuring R&B instrumental with funky bass, and a beautiful jazzy piano passage on the outro.
The song is ZAGI’s second single after previously releasing his debut single ‘Someone Else’ in the middle of this year. Still talking about the dynamics of romantic relationships between lovers, but this time ZAGI tells about the other side or other stories that other people may also experience.
“If ‘Someone Else’ is like my ballad, ‘Do You Want Me’ is a song you can listen to while driving the car on your way to your crush’s place. But now you come to your crush’s place more confident and with a ‘jadi-lo-mau-gue-apa-nggak?’ mentality” said Zagi explaining the story behind this song, about an attitude and action to clarify the feelings of his partner.
The process of making the song ‘Do You Want Me’ turned out to be time-consuming and was also delayed for almost a year because it was felt that ZAGI and the producer of this song, Beno Louloulia, who was also a member of the LALAHUTA and tjdika, had not found the right formula for the track.
“Actually, this song has been in the ‘bank’ since last year (2020). At that time there was only me and Bang Beno (Beno Louloulia, LALAHUTA) who brainstormed for the production of this song, but indeed we have not managed to find the right color to introduce the musical character of the track,” said ZAGI. Then in 2021, Beno finally had the idea to invite Joseph Saryuf to get him involved in the process of composing the song. New ideas began to emerge and they even got the idea to invite the rapper Kyriz Boogeyman to collaborate on the song.
