Regular Italic and Madukara just released their experimental collaboration on 6 November 2021. In the collaboration, they released 4 bags by utilizing hessian fabric waste.

Madukara itself was a brand that focuses on textile development and the use of fabric waste which will be converted into ready-to-use products combined with the sashiko sewing techniques.

Shibuya, Noka, Kyoto, and Nawa are the names of the bags that they released in this collaboration.

Shibuya bags are inspired by the name of a city in Tokyo, in that city the residents are workaholics. Noka bags are a bag that was commonly used by women in Japan to carry flowers and other things. Kyoto bags are a bag that you can use when you cycle to carry Tumblr. Nawa bags are a bag that you can use to carry equipment, clothes, and other things you need to carry when you go on vacation.

In the process of making those bags, they use the sashiko sewing techniques. Sashiko is a basting sewing/embroidery technique, which is arranged in a way to form a certain pattern. By using this sewing technique, the product will have its own characteristics and be more durable.
